For the teams that have not paid the full amount for their entry fee to the elimination round and who have only secured their booking with a 50% deposit, please bring the balance in cash or a cash cheque to the event. There are no card facilities but internet banking will be available on site.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Sleeping bag and pillow.
There will be stretchers and roll-up camping foam mattresses in the tents or you can bring your own if you prefer.
Your own towel, soap and toiletries.
Sunglasses and hat.
A flashlight/torch or small camping light for your tent.
Warm clothing for the evenings.
Your own medicines for all reasonable foreseeable ailments – hay fever, insect bites, headaches, runny stomach, inflammation from regular conditions (not accidents), sunburn, eye drops, blisters, colds, flu and fever.
Your own alcohol, mixers and drinking water.
Your own snacks and soft drinks for between meals.
Glasses and ice will be available.
A timing devise such as a stopwatch.

The use of a Volkswagen V6 Amarok double cab.
CELL PHONE RECEPTION
Vodacom reception is available at certain areas in the camp site. MTN reception is also available but the signal is very weak.
CLOTHING AND REFRESHMENTS
Branded clothing and merchandise will be available to purchase at the event. Please bring your own alcohol, mixers, soft drinks and snacks for between meals.
For R200.00 (payable at the event) a team will receive two CDs with approximately 120 photos and a video clips on each. The photos will cover your stay with us. You will receive the CDs before your departure.This feature is currently unavailable
We can only accommodate the contestants taking part in the competition. There is no accommodation available for extra guests who are not participating in the competition, unless previously arranged with the organisers.
2020 sees the Spirit of Africa elimination rounds moving to a new location, Geluksfontein Private Game Ranch, situated approximately 35kms north of Vaalwater, Limpopo Province
The venue can be reached with a standard vehicle, a 4x4 is not needed. Travel to the event venue is not included. The competition is open to contestants residing outside of South Africa, provided that the contestants can arrange their own travel to the event. Elimination rounds will run from April to June 2020. There are various group dates for you to select when booking. Bookings are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis, once a deposit is received.
Prices are set for teams of two people. The package includes all meals, tented accommodation
and the use of a Volkswagen Amarok V6 for the duration of the competition. There are two available time slots – midweek and weekend packages.
